矢量信号发生器R&S SMU200A设计用于满足现代通信系统的研发和生产的所有要求，R&S SMU200A不仅将两个独立的信号发生器集成到一个仅有4U高度的机壳中，还提供了无与伦比的射频与基带性能。
因为采用模块化设计，R&S SMU200A能够满足不同应用的要求。第一个RF通路可有四种频率选择，频率上限分别为2.2 GHz / 3 GHz / 4 GHz/6 GHz。另外，第二个RF通路可选择上限频率为2.2 GHz 或3 GHz。所有的下限频率均为100 kHz。
基带部分最多可以安装两个基带发生器，它们实时地产生各种复杂信号，并且还安装了一个存储量高达64 MSamples的任意波形发生器。不同基带产生的信号可以叠加在一起，而且可设置频率偏移。
R&S SMU200A具有现代、直观的操作理念，操作起来快速、简单。
